Does anyone know of any free/opensource photo and image editing software. I seriously need something to enhance my gel photos for work, but being a student dont have the money to fork out for Adobe photoshop. If anyone knows of any alternate software (preferably free) that would be great.

Thanks.

One I know of is GIMP: GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program (http://www.gimp.org/)
And using Google I found this thing: Free Image & Photo Editing Software Download - PhotoPlus (http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/software/PhotoPlus/)
And this: Paint.NET - Free Photo Editing Software for Windows (http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html)

All of them look pretty good, the only one I really know anything about is GIMP, it's definitely a really good program.

Thanks, I actually have heard of GIMP from a colleage, but do to his accent thought the name was something different and as a result could not find it. That makes two recommendations for GIMP so I guess I'll give it a try.
