*PLEASE GO TO THE SITE BEFORE CONTINUING READING*

Watch the introduction, it's pertinent to understanding the mentality of the website. My friend showed me this thing as a joke, and I admit I laughed a lot.

Quite frankly, for someone like me who doesn't believe in any particular religion this was a pathetic joke meant to brainwash another generation of American Christians in order to keep a religious status quo.

Are there any of you who seriously believe this is a good cause after seeing the website and looking over some of it? I couldn't be more disgusted, but that's just my opinion.

I'm looking into what kind of branch of Christianity this thing is, once I find it I'll post for you guys what it is.

Anyhow, fire away.

Ok, I found it. The website is Evangelist, produced by Tim Todd Ministries.
I find it hard to believe how many Evangelists we have in this country, that actually believe this stuff!

I couldn't open the comics...But are they the basic ones with images of people with needles in their arms and satan laughing above them? People rottong with VD and satan encouraging them to spread it while Angels weep and God tosses the sinners into burning flames?

If so we had these when I was in high school..we collected them and had a teacher that passed them out.We would sit at the lunch table in hysterics reading them (kinda acting them out)..Untill my mother found them and was so disturbed she went up to the school and lost it on the teacher that was passing them out.

They are still being produced. Hillarious for lucid adults, terrifying for impressionable children.
There are online versions available that can be easily found with a web search.

It's called the Post Hoc Fallacy (http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/post-hoc.html). Just because they took the bible out of the schools, doesn't mean that schools are horrible now. And all those figures are horribly out of proportion, and not all rock music is death metal. In addition, there's nothing with pornography as long as it's private. They don't know anything about evolution obviously, and frankly, I hate propeganda.

Good example of religious propaganda, and very little (if anything else at all) more. To each his own, but a bit over the top, IMO. I know I'd be pretty ticked off if my kid came home from school with something like this.`

What I find sad is that this is the way the people who created this site think the world works. That all kids who look at porno have parents who are irresponsible...and even ENCOURAGING. Or that every homosexual had a lousy father or no father at all.

While those situations allot for some of the cases of children viewing pornography or homosexuality, etc...it is a stereotype and not even necessarily the norm.

Most kids view porn because they are smart enough to figure out how to get around the parental controls. And a lot of the porn sites are smart enough to know how to ignore the parental controls, as well.

Well the material doesn't appear to be racist, I found out after a few comics when the bad kid wasn't black, in fact the Bible thumper was black in the football episode!

I find the material to be downright laughable, however I guess a good chunk of Americans seem to disagree. This is what some of us are, and that frightens me

Evangelism = Militant Christian Extremists.
Someone please enlighten us as to what Bush's religion might be?

The website wouldn't work on this computer, but I think there's a generalization of terms being used among some here who claim to be sticklers for avoiding stereotypes:

Evangelist:
1. often Evangelist Any one of the authors of the four New Testament gospel books: Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.
2. One who practices evangelism, especially a Protestant preacher or missionary.

Evangelical:
1. Of, relating to, or in accordance with the Christian gospel, especially one of the four gospel books of the New Testament.
2. Evangelical Of, relating to, or being a Protestant church that founds its teaching on the gospel.
3. Evangelical Of, relating to, or being a Christian church believing in the sole authority and inerrancy of the Bible, in salvation only through regeneration, and in a spiritually transformed personal life.
4. Evangelical
a. Of or relating to the Lutheran churches in Germany and Switzerland.
b. Of or relating to all Protestant churches in Germany.
5. Of or relating to the group in the Church of England that stresses personal conversion and salvation by faith.
6. Characterized by ardent or crusading enthusiasm; zealous: an evangelical liberal.

It seems "evangelist" and "evangelical" are used as politically-correct terms for the religious slur "Bible-thumper," when they really can mean several different things.

Interesting definitions... it seems it generally encompasses Protestants and anyone who recognized those 4 books. The Evangelist title does, however, get used by people to describe themselves as well. Just watch Daystar for 10 minutes if you can handle it (I can't, and I've tried a couple times :( ) You have to admit, though, "Bible-thumper" makes a nice slur. You can just imagine hearing the repeated thumping of Nazi-like ranks marching down the streets rapping Bibles against their chests as they go. ;)

This whole conversation has become rather insulting. Since when did being an evangelist become such a bad thing?

I wonder, how many of those teens who are doing drugs, getting pregnant and listening to death metal were raised and consider themselves practicing Christians? How many are attending religious schools?

It would be hard to argue they need Jesus if they think they've got him already!
