I am not good at all in the kitchen. I just do not like to cook or bake. But I can make a good pie crust. Everyone loves my apple pie.
Crust is simple: 2 cups flour
1/2 cup vegtable oil
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
mix and roll out between two sheets of wax paper. Dampen counter under bottom sheet of wax paper so it will not slide when rolling crust out. The trick is not to work with the crust much. Handle it only until it is mixed and rolled out. Put in pie plate. Add filling and repeat for top crust.
Bake in 425 degree oven for about 40-50 minutes depending on your oven.
Give this a try for your Thanksgiving pumpkin pie.

That's a really easy one! I tried to make a more complex crust the other day and well... it didn't go so well. I caught it on fire. I don't know how, but it burned like a mo-fo.
This one is easier and hopefully we won't have to evacuate the house when I try to make it.

Thanks Sam! It sounds kind of like the crust I made last year (which was the first year I attempted making my own pie shells!). It's so easy, and, of course, I'd lost my recipe!

The wax paper is only used to roll the crust out without sticking to surface. Take the top sheet off after crust is rolled out. Put pie plate upside down on top of rolled out crust and flip bottom wax paper crust and pie plate over. Remove wax paper and position crust in plate.

Sorry, I told you I can't cook or bake. I'm looking for a good salsa recipe.

You crack me up..I had these 2 very close girlfriends all through HS> After we graduated one of them got married and had a baby, so she was the 1st of us to have her own place..So of course this is where we would "hang."
My girlfriend and I were very excited one night, when we noticed our other girlfriend had baked cookies. We were on a HUNGER rampage ( if you catch my drift) We starting shoveling the cookies in our mouth and all of a sudden realized how absolutly disgusting they were. As we are then trying to find a place to spit them out our girlfriends husband informed us, his brilliant wife forgot to put sugar in the mix..Kinda reminds me of that
