View Full Version : It's Alright

It's alright

T’was a dark and stormy night!
So we stayed in and played poker.
A female voice screamed out!
so from her dream we woke her.

Everything’s alright, everything's fine
story problems are takin’ a break, do take your time.

The dragons have reached an agreement
through strategic talks, on the phone,
that those fearsome beasts will cut back on damsels,
and the knights will leave the dragons alone.

So sorry news to fantasy readers, suspense readers’ll be irate
Sorry to have to tell you this, but everything’s workin’ out great.

The battle for the fate of the universe
it ended in a tie;
The evil dark and hideous lord:
now bhudist, what a swell guy.

Everything’s turning out right, the heroes are rather miffed
But the villager’s are having a ball, this is a gift.

The pillaging vikings were on their way,
but then they went on strike
My archrival came an fought me,
but it turns out we’re both quite alike.

So lay back easy, let nothing, your mind tax
The evil things all took the day off, so relax.

A man is standing on a grassy knoll,
but he’s just there for the view,
The British were coming, the British were coming,
until they got sick with the flu.

So where you goin’? What’s the hurry?
Everything is turning out right, so don’t worry.

The battle for the universe ended in a tie? When did that happen? When did the battle begin? These are very important questions, but I agree, what's the hurry :)

This is my solution to writers block: can't think up an story plot or conflict, so I write a poem about there being no story plot or conflict. I like this poem. Which reminds me, we need to have a poetry contest sometime soon.

Oh Goody Goody! What Do We Get For A Prize????
The satisfaction of a job well done. And mountains cash. And a sense of achievement. (One of those was a joke).
