See post #2? It's different than the usual quote. I'm still working on it, so I removed it. It was causing table errors. I don't know if I like the regular or the post #2 quote version.

If I go w/ the post #2 version, I'm going to change the background of the quotebox so it stands out a bit more.

I much prefer #2 (but without the carriage return in the top of the quote box)
It employs better conservation of space, especially with nested quotes, and looks much cleaner to me.

Is there any chance of formatting the quotes so they don't disappear from the response to the post in which they appear?

I realize they may have been made to disappear to reduce clutter, but sometimes it's prudent for clarity to include them (or at least portions thereof) in further replies, and it's a pain to have to cut & paste from other posts just to put them back in.

Your post is never edited....your quote code and the text that you quote, will never disappear. If you are referring to Godless's test above...he didn't use the quote feature correctly. ;)

No. I'm not referring to GP's post,; you are misunderstanding me.
I'm referring to, what you called, quoted quotes.

If I had chosen to respond to your post by clicking the ""Quote box at the bottom right of your post, This:
Quote:
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=6 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=alt2 style="BORDER-RIGHT: 1px inset; BORDER-TOP: 1px inset; BORDER-LEFT: 1px inset; BORDER-BOTTOM: 1px inset">Is there any chance of formatting the quotes so they don't disappear from the response to the post in which they appear?
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>would not have appeared with the rest of your post.
By the bye, when I try to click in the Quote message in reply? option at the bottom of the Quick Reply Message box, nothing happens.
