Okay, lol, nice to see you back.
How about you create a 1-on-1 on it? (General debates, with the "1-on-1" tag)
I dunno, what do you think about his theories?
My main problem lies in his conception that, A. Science isn't based on a method. B. Science is no different than mysticism, in that value judgments are required. (Value here in the sense of axiology)
He seemed to embrace science in his early life, and then jumped off of the train and started supporting "alternative medicine", casting science as value based and not rational, and stated that science was no different than mysticism or religion.
I don't have a problem with skepticism and criticism, but it has to be reasonable, enlightened criticism, rather than just taking pot shots at belief systems that you don't understand. He had had some knowledge of physics, but little (to my knowledge) of any other form of science.
His thesis seems to reflect this.
Do you care for a 1-v-1 on Feyerabend? It would be an interesting discussion that's not the norm on ODN. Especially since it's an *actual* philosophical discussion, lmao.
I'm curious, are you a fan of Feyerabend?
