  1. I haven't watched all of the clips yet, but I love JP as an actor. I will be sure to check out Entourage as well...I hadn't realized it was such a good show!

    5) Despite #4, a friend and mentor of mine did $5 million last year... and he uses the method I refer to in #3. He's about ten years older than me, though, and already has long-lasting, solid relationships on which to leverage his marketing efforts.

    Hm.

    Interesting. A few thoughts/questions:

    1) What do they mean when they say "one-to-one" marketing is "better" than other marketing systems?

    2) Is there any data supporting the assertion that "one-to-one" marketing will replace these other marketing systems as the primary marketing method? I'm not saying they did make this assertion, but I have heard it.

    3) There are interesting empirical studies done on the marketing methods employed by top producing sales reps in the financial services industry. The findings show that the one method that these reps use is very similar to the method advocated by your company.

    4) Despite #3, I've found that the marketing method described therein is profoundly ineffective for my business. That may be because it's a long-term strategy: It requires that you first build relationships with those whose work you leverage. At least in the short-term, I've found that good, old-fashioned, confident cold calling reigns supreme.

True story about the many making the few rich. Not sure about the stats, but it sounds close to what I've heard.

Business ownership is definitely the way to build wealth. That's how most wealthy Americans do it.

I'm always thinking about the future. Always thinking about multiple avenues. I was actually thinking about you, though... have you ever thought about starting your own network marketing company? Or other ideas?

There are solid industry publications that provide articles on which industries currently provide the best opportunities for new business. They're objective and based on actual data. I'm always reading stuff like that. If you want to start something, I'd suggest something like that. Always good to have the facts... know what I mean?
  5. Yeah, I have. Owning a company / business is the only way to become financially free. 95% of people spend 45 years of their life making the other 5% wealthy. The problem for me at the moment is finding people that have the same goal. It takes a team to make dreams a reality. My mentors have finally put together what we call a "fast track" team. Probably an overused term, but basically what it means is that they are ready to devote their time and effort to help me build my business - something that I hadn't had in the beginning which caused me to burn a lot of leads.

    What are you thinking about?

Exciting and promising. I lost a deal last Thursday, which sucked. Would've made me at least $30,000, but you can't win 'em all. And I may still be able to salvage part of it. We'll see.

I'm about to get some bad ass market intelligence (I think I've told you about it a few times). Might pull the trigger today. If not, tomorrow. Few of my competitors - if any - have access to this info, so I'm stoked. Plus, a partner of mine and I did some soul searching last night. We made the decision to dramatically raise our risk profile, which will result in even heavier rewards. You can't tip-toe through life just to arrive safely at death. Being a man is about putting your ****ing nuts on the line.

You've heard of Pascal's wager. Leadread's wager is that since this is my only known shot at life, I'm going to live it with fist-clenched determination, jaw-clenched confidence and nut-flexed aggression.

    How about you?

Thanks, man. Honestly, as far as business goes, I'm focused solely on energy. I only worked two weeks in the past 30 days and made $20,600 (part of that was the deal that finally closed yesterday). And it should've been more than that. With some hard work, and some cleverness, I should be able to turn this business into a long-term annuity. Once I accomplish this, I'll look into other markets, industries and opportunities. It's all about focus!
