That's my kind of brilliant. Thanks again. Really appreciate it.

Thanks for the rep. I just wish the compliment you included with it was well deserved. It doesn't take "brilliance" to simply walk through a door your opponent not only opens for you, but invites you to walk through. All it takes is reading the sources HE cites and selectively quotes.

I just wanted to push you into the 6 Gold Star range. Of course, I only did posts I thought were good... but I was so close with my rep, I figured I'd give it a shot anyway.

Well, re-define your own balance some other time, in some other thread. Just hammer those two points. The peer-review process has enjoyed a reputation that has become, in many circles, legendary. Obama has used it in the politics of global warming debate as a debate ender, as has Gore and every other climate change hysterics. And this is just one example out of dozens and dozens that could be cited. This discovery undercuts this sort of general nonsense, calls intellectualism to account, which is always a good thing, and it is therefore of critical importance in realigning the "balance" in many, many important issues of our day. So, yeah, win the debate first, then worry about other stuff.

I tried to give you some rep for your new thread: "Mind Trapped by: Fake science Journal articles, and it's effect on acceptable evidence", but this darned site wouldn't let me. Just wanted to let you know you hit gold. Just keep pounding away at the "this is about trust, not statistics" and the "filter" metaphor, and ignore the rest.

Conversions of that nature usually make interesting reads. In the spirit of gift exchange, http://www.nationalreview.com/articl...jonah-goldberg

I agree with your comment "PS. the video was good.. but not really relevant to coke." and felt the same way about many of the SuperBowl commercials. I had no idea what they were pitching until the end of the commercial. Many were impressive but not necessarily effectively selling the product.

I apologize to anyone waiting on a response from me. I am experiencing a time warp, suddenly their are not enough hours in a day. As soon as I find a replacement part to my flux capacitor regulator, time should resume it's normal flow.
