Good points. I think Frank ran from the argument. His position was poorly thought out and he was denying his presuppositions at the same time affirming them, IMO.

also, you seem to be living out a dream of the wife and i, traveling the country. tipped cow is out there some where with a park, and good bbq.

quick point about tipping. i was a waiter at two different restaurants over 4 years. one a full service middle to upper class place, the other a buffet. at both places, i was tipped the most when i first started, with tips dwindling till i had to quit. this not only by me, but all waiters. the first was because the resturant was becoming older, and a lot of new places opened up. the second was because we had a bunch if regulars, that would eat once or twice a week. that decrease was fulled by being too busy and slowly pissing everyone off because they got poor service. the attitude that drove this goes like this. "he gave me bad service last time/that one time, thus i will not tip him again/as much". also a buffet has a larger % if people who don't tip to begin with. point is, there is an apparent downward trend in tipping that seems typical for the industry.
