Farscape vs. Star Trek vs. Babylon 5

    Farscape-
Fun, crazy show but didn't have much to say about anything. So it doesn't stick with you. I remember loving it when I was little, but...time is cruel!

    Star Trek-
The older I get the more I enjoy it. Of course, I'm speaking of TNG. TOS was ok in my opinion, but lacked the utopian feel of the later ones. Kirk and Spock just seemed to wing it the entire voyage. Picard, though....is awesome. I watched that show before I could speak (my parents were avid trekkies when I was little). It grows more appealing as I grow older. Voyager at times came up to the level of TNG, especially after 7 of 9 joined. DS9, apart from having some cool battle scenes, was the worst. Until Enterprise and my first watchings of the TNG-era movies.
But a good episode of TNG? Nothing can rival it

    Babylon 5-
This is the second contender, because although each individual show was weaker then Star Trek episodes, it's contiunity and deep philosophical overtones from start to finish make it, although slightly dated, something that truly rivals TNG. In my opinion Babylon 5 is the greatest sci-fi seris.

We are such nerds! Well its not like I was gonna get lucky this weekend anyway, so I'm with star trek as well, TNG then Enterprise, DS9, and finally voyager. DS9 was the worst until it had the impressive battle scenes.
Who convinced Patrick Stewart to do that!?! Awesome.

Have either of you even seen B5? It had the battles of Ds9, the philosophy of TNG, the struggles of voyager. The entire sereis was a metaphor, it was sweet.

    *Squatch.....enterprise? Honestly? Enterprise?

Hey, I grew up with Quantum Leap, got me interested in Physics in the first place. Got to support my peeps as it were ;-) Plus, its just like that old joke about the army, go to new places, meet fascinating new people...and shoot them. ;-) Every week, Archer would go to a new planet and start shooting people, awesome!

I tried watching babylon 5. It was just sooo not interesting to me. Enterprise is the worst in the Star Trek series in my opinon. But I agree TNG was the best.

Babylon 5 The original series was awesome, and of course the new one is good as well.

    I don't have cable.

I used to watch the original star trek with my dad and loved it! Now, I watch it and cringe. Horrible.

    But I always liked Enterprise.

The captain of voyager lives in the same neighborhood as my family. Her husband works with my dad.

Contrariwise, if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.

Bummer poor you, does she ever try to use a ray gun on you or mumble incoherently about the "borg"?

I've never seen her. I've never lived where my family moved 10 years ago. I'm only there one week a year.

Voted for Star Trek. Haven't actually watched either of the other ones, but Star Trek is sufficiently awesome to be worth a vote anyway.

It was so funny, he was like, "What's the point? We're all going to die. I want to spend the rest of this existance fondling my perfect Xev," or some crap like that when he first got his arm, it was hillarious. It was a nasty looking arm too. I wouldn't let that sh!t near me.
