APOK!! Anyway, polls being able to be made in a thread after it is made

Ok, Heres what I'm thinking: how many people have posted something and then forgot too add a poll and they were screwed, or how about this

Apok: I bet the majority of the peeps of odn feel x is the case
(thread started bf) blah blah blah I think they feel that y is the case,

wouldn't it benefit the debate if I could go and make a poll once it was needed for a debate? I dont know just thinking out loud, hollaback

Not possible w/ the software unless it was modified. And even then, it would have to be an existing modification that I could integrate because I couldn't do it from scratch.

Yeah, there were cases when I made a thread and submitted it before clicking the "add a poll" option.

However, you do have a few alternatives:

    1) Ask a mod to help you add the poll; or

    2) If not much time has elapsed and no one has replied yet, delete the thread and create a new one with the poll this time.

Even if posts have been made, you could make a new thread w/poll and have the mods transfer the posts--unless that would require a prohibitive amount of effort on their part.

It's easy to transfer posts from one thread to another.

Given what Apok has said about the programming, it doesnt seem worthwhile. Especially when you consider the other option available.
I typically cite original research papers and reviews that are available only to a personal or institutional subscriptional. If you wish a PDF copy of the papers I cite, send me a request.

Re: APOK!! Anyway, polls being able to be made in a thread after it is made

I was wrong. I guess I just spaced it.

Being able to add a poll after the fact, is an option that already exists as a feature.

Just go into "Thread Tools" to do so. It's the last option: "Add a Poll to this thread".

Only the thread starter can do so.
