    Dog Pants

If a dog wore pants, would it wear them on all four legs or just the back two?

    Re: Dog Pants

Hear is the Wiktionary's definition of "pants": An outer garment worn by men and women that covers the body from the waist downwards, covering each leg separately, usually as far as the ankles. The phrase "from the waist downwards" would mean that only the back legs are covered. If you made a garment for a dog that covered all four legs you would have to call it something else.

    Re: Dog Pants

The idea with the Wiktionary's definition is reasonable. I fully agree with this point of view that pants regardless of dogs' they are or for people should be worn on two legs only. So in case of dogs pants I am sure it is better to think that they should wear pants on the two back legs, but not on all four. But if we say about outer garment which can be worn on four extremities at once its title is a boiler suit or overalls.
