Just seeing if I should leave it up or make room for something extra. I'm talking about the "Today in History" block on the front page.
What say ye?

Personally, I think that it should either be scrapped entirely or made alot smaller, possibly with a scroller, for those who still read it.
It just seems like alot of space that could be better used...

I'll give you a hint. Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think that you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong.

BUT! If what you want to replace it with is better, I'm all ears.
I believe I've read it in passing, but I haven't thought too much of it. It wouldn't be a huge loss from my standpoint. I hit reply before the poll went up, so I'm going to see if its there when I hit submit.
EDIT: Wow...quick posting by Dio and emtee.

Just thinkin' about doing some more housecleanin' to the site and adding some goodies...but the Today in History block really has no bearing on the addons. It will be done w/ or without.

I've glanced once or twice. But I usually don't pay much attention to it.
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.1 Peter 3:15-16
Not so much.

I read it..But I wouldn't freak if it was gone. I always figured it could be a good source for Debate Topics, but it does not seem to be.
I forgot it was there.
I can only be who He allows me to be, I can only stand where He places me. 1Peter 5:6The true man wants two things: danger and play. For that reason he wants woman, as the most dangerous plaything. ---Friedrich Nietzsche
I haven't even read this thread.
I had no idea we had a Today in History section on the home page until I read this thread and looked for it. I couldn't care less what happens to it.
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." ~Bertrand Russell
I don't care if we keep it up or not, I never look at the home page. And Wikipedia has a good today in history headline to check out when I want to.
