There has been an update to ODN such that we now have a class of membership called "Restricted Members".
The goal of this change was to discourage members from making posts that are perceived as poor quality while giving them a chance to restore their reputation with the ODN community.
How does one become a Restricted Member?
ODN Users shall be automatically assigned to the "Restricted Members" usergroup upon reaching at least 20 posts and a reputation lower than -1000 points.
The 20 posts rule was put in place so that if a new member gets into hot water with the first post or two, they have the ability to redeem themselves before being automatically moved to the new usergroup.
What are the consequences of becoming a Restricted Member?

All,
I've reenabled the quick reply feature on the forums. Please let me know if any of you experience double-posting (the posting of the same thing two times in a row). I haven't experienced it in my several tests.
I'd also like to caution you against making numerous replies in a row. If you intend to reply to more than one post in a row, please use the multi-quote feature to make your replies one single post, or go back and edit your post if you need to post again within a 24 hour period in the same thread. The auto-merge double-post feature is still currently disabled.
